3 Sep. 2005 - Labor Day Weekend - Pinedale Cemetery Service Project:
The Family Service Project at the Pinedale Cemetery went from 8:00 a.m. till about 11:00 a.m. It was a great success!  We mended fences, pulled and cut weeds, raked the grounds, and hauled away our clippings. We all enjoyed working together and strengthening bonds.

6 Aug. 2005- Post Reunion Update: Thanks to all those who came to the reunion; especially those who helped make it a success!  About 150 family members attended!  It was a lot of fun!  The best way to spread the word (of this site and reunions) is to tell your kids, siblings and parents, and have each of them do the same!  Our major goal in the next several months is to establish e-mail connections to at least one "contact" representing the families of each of the grandchildren of Niels and Lars.  Let's make sure everyone has the opportunity to attend next year by spreading the word to those with whom we should already have close contact!

Site Introduction: Thank you for visiting our new Internet site.  We hope this new site will give us the opportunity to stay in better contact with our relatives.  Our focus is on the descendants of the Neils & Lars Petersen (Pedersen) families (two of the sons of Peder and Kirstin (Jensen) Nielsen of Gannebro Huse, Praesto, Denmark - Married 27 Nov. 1840).  However, if you are a descendant of the Peder Nielsen family through another child, we'd love to hear from you.  Lets join forces in our Family History efforts!

In brief, you should know the following about us: the Peder Nielsen family was established in 1840 when Peder married Kirstin Jensen.  They had 8 children, two of whom where Neils and Lars.  Neils, Lars and several other "children" traveled to the United States.  Neils and Lars are both buried in Pinedale, Navajo, Arizona, USA.
